Chemical Skywriting Controversy in Canada
by author Paul Anderson

You know what contrails are. They're long trails of jet vapor that split the blueness of the sky on a sunny day. We're used to them. But since at least the fall of 1998 there has been a new contrail phenomenon regularly reported, not only in Canada, but in the United States, Europe, Australia and New Zealand. Mystery contrails have been laid out by unmarked military aircraft in strange formations: large Xs and elaborate cross-hatch patterns over large population centres as well as rural areas.

The international network of sky-watchers believes these contrails are from military testing for biological warfare and that the sky trails are composed of toxic substances, not ordinary water vapor, because people have been getting mysteriously sick. They've come down with bronchitis, other respiratory problems, flu-like symptoms and muscle weakness. What's happening–and why? Questions are being asked around the globe.

Military biological tests have beer conducted many times before. Highly populated areas have been sprayed in select areas of the US, Canada and other countries for military-related purposes and for short periods of time. This is different. Now hundreds of sky watchers report that the tests are happening on a much broader scale. People from all over North America have taken photographs and video documentation of contrails criss-crossing the sky. The same military aircraft, described as tanker-type planes, are usually painted white or silver, with no identifiable markings (that's illegal in itself) and they fly at very low altitudes, well below 30,000 feet. Normal contrails typically form only at higher altitudes where the water vapor from the jet engines crystallizes.

Into Thin Air

Mysterious chemical trails have been observed over Vancouver, BC, and surrounding areas since April of 1999. Days of mass activity were May 21,26 and June 11. Characteristic were large, multiple sky trails lined up, parallel, seven or eight at once, with large, billowing and expanding contrails. Material was seen to flow down the length of the vapor like water in a stream while another large contrail crossed it to form an X.

Paul Anderson, founder of the Millennium Project (an independent future studies research organization) and an inveterate sky watcher, says there have been times when he has neither seen nor heard aircraft, yet very large contrails appeared almost out of nowhere, including Xs directly over his Kitsilano apartment. At other times aircraft have been seen at a distance with three of four planes making chemical trails at the same time. Paul says he felt ill for weeks.

Susan Cameron-Block, moderator of the Vancouver-based Susan Cameron-Block Vancouver Health Show, says her husband Reg has taken dozens of photographs of chemical trails patterning the sky. Susan and Reg make sure they double their usual regimen of dietary supplements in order to resist the mounting chemical attacks.

The Real Story of Alberta Oil Industry Pollution
My parents, Robert and Ethel Kerns, bought a farm in 1946 that is located outside a little town called Wimborne in Central Alberta. About 1967, Mom started raising purebred Arabian horses. Our first devastating experience with the gas/oil industry was the sulphur plant about five kilometres east of the farm.
Chemtrails Secret Confirmed
It started in the winter of 1998. Sky-obscuring "chemtrails" have been observed by thousands of eyewitnesses--including pilots, police officers and former military personnel--over Canada, the USA, Britain, Australia and allied European nations.
Breathe Easy, Take Antioxidants
Antioxidant supplements may improve lung damage caused by ozone, reports James M. Samet, PhD of the US Environmental Protection Agency's National Health and Environmental Effects Research Lab in North Carolina.

A new generation of children with asthma calls for natural treatments. It is tragically common these days to see children-and adults-puffing onsmall blue puffers or wheezing for breath during exercise. Natural health supplements and herbs are simple nutritional additions to the diet that can help.

Fuel-Cell Future Less Grey
It's smog, not fog surrounding six of the world's most air polluted cities: Mexico City, Sao Paulo, Cairo, New Delhi, Shanghai and Beijing. But that could change with the introduction of 46 fuel-cell powered buses that would provide urban transportation and clean the air by cutting down on greenhouse gas emissions.

Petro Problems in Cowboy Country
When it comes to mega-profits from mega-oil, the province of Alberta was not careful enough about what it wished for. What it has been granted, along with the riches, is a nightmarish mess of pollution that it has not begun to address.
Dry Cleaning Resolution
Have you made any eco-conscious New Year's resolutions? In 2009 why not resolve to choose a green dry cleaner? While Environment Canada has regulated the phasing out of wasteful, old-generation washing machines and the reduction of toxic dry cleaning emissions, the department has not yet assessed the success of its regulations.
