by author Charles E. Murrant Canadians need to go out of the country if they want treatment for degenerative disease that is considered “alternative” to orthodox drugs and surgery. The IMAQ Clinic in Tijuana, Mexico is the destination for hundreds of Canadians looking for EDTA chelation therapy. Chelation consists of a synthesized amino-carboxylic acid called ethylene diamine tetra-acetic acid (EDTA). When this solution is injected into the bloodstream it removes metals, including lead, cadmium, arsenic, nickel and iron, as well as other toxins responsible for disease. Founder of the clinic, Dr Esai Castillo has improved the quality of life of his clients through his combination of natural health treatments and orthodox medicine. Below are just two examples of the success his patients have achieved. Chelation Cured My Prostate Cancer In the fall of 1996, during a regular medical checkup my doctor discovered a hardened and enlarged prostate. He recommended I have a Prostate-Specific Antigen (PSA) test done. The results showed a PSA of 52. My doctor recommended a visit to a specialist and possibly a biopsy. While waiting for an available time to have the procedure, I was stricken with severe back pain and admitted to the local hospital. X-rays showed possible tumours on my spine and I was immediately air-lifted to a major urban hospital. I was given a biopsy and bone scan. The resulting diagnosis was prostate cancer that had spread through the lymph system into my skeleton. The recommended treatment ruled out either chemo or radiation therapies because the cancer was everywhere. I was put on a drug called flutimide. This treatment is used to slow cancer growth, but I was informed the cancer would eventually take over and kill me. I was given a three month supply of fludamide (an anti-antigen drug used in treating prostate cancer), some morphine in pill form, was wished good luck and discharged. Through word of mouth from concerned friends, I heard of the alternative treatment available at Dr Castillo’s clinic in Tijuana, Mexico. I was somewhat tentative and apprehensive, but with little or no alternative available I decided to go have a look. I needed to find out for myself if I could be helped. I met Dr Castillo and started treatment in his clinic in January 1997. I took 21 treatments and my tests on completion indicated a normal-sized prostate and PSA count of .09. On returning home I maintained a diet given to me by Dr Castillo along with Hoxey tonic and vitamins. I was also drinking essiac tea. A second bone scan showed no tumours and little indication of cancer. I returned to Dr Castillo’s clinic three months later for 10 additional treatments. My PSA was still down and all tests showed improvement. All indications are positive with no sign of cancer growth. I’m feeling much better now with my strength and energy returning. I would encourage anyone with problems like mine to seek alternative available treatments. Charles E. Murrant is a writer living in Alberta. Source: alive #220, February 2001 |
