by author Marlene Paulson This morning I walked up the stairs to the front door of the Instituto Medico Alternativo de Quelacion (IMAQ) Clinic in Tijuana, Mexico. I was filled with joy. I was strong and healthy, glad to be back for a checkup and some booster chelation treatments. It wasn’t always that way. Eight years ago I walked up those same stairs with great effort, aided by my husband Glen. It was June, 1993. I had been diagnosed with acute leukemia and told by my physician that I may have anywhere from two days to six weeks to live. I agreed to start chemotherapy. It helped bring down the blast cells which, at the beginning of treatment, were at 73 percent. In March, I experienced strong pain and swelling in my right side and returned to the hospital for more tests. The cancer had metastasized and spread to my liver. The doctor’s statement was not encouraging. He told me that they could do nothing more except give me painkillers to keep me comfortable. Then my daughter heard Dr Castillo speak at a meeting in Grand Prairie. My family encouraged me to go to his clinic. At the time I was in a great deal of pain and so weak that I felt I could not make the trip. But my husband and daughter were relentless. I am thankful they didn’t let the subject drop! “If you don’t go, we’ll always wonder whether had you gone, could you have been helped.” I headed down to Tijuana, Mexico. When I arrived at the clinic, I was immediately taken to see Dr Castillo. The one-on-one time I had with him was incredible! I was given thorough physical tests including X-rays and ultrasounds. We also spent hours discussing my medical history and what my previous course of treatment for leukemia had been. He was very attentive to my concerns and condition. He recommended that I start chelation therapy immediately for a period of 21 days, along with a herbal tonic, vitamins, minerals and other herbs. Dr Castillo and his staff were so caring. They never shied away from any of the questions I asked and always offered words of encouragement. The support was fantastic! Not only was the staff caring and kind, I also met people with wonderful “first-hand” testimonies of how they had been helped by Dr Castillo for many different diseases and chronic ailments–not just cancer patients. After 14 days of treatment, the swelling and pain started to subside. Blood tests showed that my condition was improving. I took my last painkiller as a precaution for the flight home, but I didn’t really need it! My blood tests continue to be cancer-free and I feel well. I do my part by eating the right foods, getting proper rest and exercise. I also take the supplements, vitamins and herbs such as red clover and burdock root and other medication sent home with me from the Institute. I appreciate treatment that helps build the body so it can clean up the disease. I would like to encourage others to go to Dr Castillo’s Institute. I want them to know that they can be helped. Learning about the clinic was a marvelous gift of potential health and well-being. I am thankful for my health and lack of cancer activity. I feel that I would not be alive today had I not gone to the clinic. Thank you Dr Castillo for all your help and the service you provide!
