Popcorn has the benefits of being filling, yet low in calories, which makes it perfect for the holiday season! The following recipe makes about 6 cups of popped corn. Corn can be popped on the stovetop, in the fireplace, or in the microwave. Organic popping corn is also now available in markets.

6 cups (1,500 ml) popped corn
2 tbsp (30 ml) garlic powder
2 tbsp (30 ml) fresh parsley, finely chopped
1 tsp (5 ml) red pepper flakes
2 tsp (10 ml) dried Italian seasonings

Premix the flavourings and place them in a small bowl. Add them to the hot popcorn and toss to mix well.
