I am a huge fan of grapefruit - it's yummy and healthy to boot.
Pink grapefruit is palatable to most tastebuds (try it, try it!!) but there are some folks who cannot eat yellow grapefruit varieties. For them, I suggest they try the following recipe for Baked Grapefruit:
- turn on your toaster oven/oven to about 400 degrees on broil
- taking a whole grapefruit, cut it in half width-wise (so each individual piece is cut in half)
- place each half face-up on an oven-safe tray
- drizzle some honey or organic sugar on the top - be generous
- bake the grapefruit pieces for about 5-10 minutes or until some of the sweet topping has melted
- remove from oven and enjoy while warm
It sounds odd (baked grapefruit?!) but tastes great. Try different sweet toppings and let me know what works for you.
