Hello,
I am an athlete and have been preparing myself for a competition - my specialty is the 400 metres. I am a little overweight, which causes me to become tired around the 250m mark and drop off the pace. Are there any products that can help increase my stamina - legally? Your guidance is needed. |

Well things like energy drinks might help, but don't get ones with Caffeine, I don't believe Caffeine needs to be in energy drinks, that's just a crock.
You could in your case try Creatine, and see how that works out.
If you do, I would go for the smallest amount of cheap Monohydrate, don't load up incase that uses pretty much everything, and then try a 3 weeks on 1 off system, the smallest type of Creatine cycle.
This would give you some time to try out it's potential, thne if you think it's working, buy something like 500g Tub, or as big as you can get or want for the money.
If you're using something like a 100g Creatine tub, you'll probably get enough for 1 x 5g dose every day, but if you need the extra energy, you might be wise either splitting the dose before and after training, or take the whole 5g before training, and see how that works, as it wil increase power to some extent, can't say how much, and will potentially increase stamina from the Phosophate conversion.
You need to beware not to drink Alcohol of any kind on it, as that's counterproductive, and make sure your water is good, incase you increase the risk of side effects.
Too little water or too much daily dosing, could increase side effect risks including Kidney problems, but safe limited daily use with good water intake, won't cause an issue. Be aware though that a cheap type like Monohydrate, will cause water retention of some kind, but the power increase should combat that.
Otherwise you could try a Maltodextrin powder, mixed with water, if you can get it, and see how that pans out a few times. I'd give it 20-30 minutes pre-training, and do that, rather than drinking it in stages during, as you'd benefit from the Carbohydrate spike before, in my opinion, rather than little spikes throughout, though you could drink it that way, (in stages durign training), I think it would be easier to drink some before, and possibly after for recovery. |

A signature that should be ignored, as companies being promoted in this way, (instead of more legitimate means), can't be trusted.
Please don't click such links people, you might have your I.P. stored and used by spambots, and you will help encourage more of this activity, by validating the persons actions. They CAN use stat analysis software tools, to find where their traffic comes from, (websites too not just search engines), so be safe, and don't support the actions of people like the one above. |
