I've been painting an apartment size suite and a bedroom in my home + drywall patching + priming, my question is, would this cause an unhealthy overload of toxins in my body??

If so what kind of cleanse would you recommend??

It definitely would. There are a few things you can do.
1.Take Afalfa and drink lots of water
2.get an air purifier (get a very good one)-I found one proven to help with fumes, mold, and bacteria and backed by a pulmanary doctor, registered nurses and doctors.

Indoor air is three times more polluted than outdoor air,
and according to the EPA, is considered to be one of the top 5 hazards to human health. Paints and finishes are among the leading causes.

Paints and finishes release low level toxic emissions into the air for years after application. The source of these toxins is a variey of VOC's (Volatile Organic Compounds). New environmental regulations, and consumer demand, have led to the development of low-VOC and zero-VOC paints and finishes.

Even better are Natural Paints. They are made from natural raw ingredients such as water, plant oils and resins, plant dyes and essential oils; natural minerals such as clay, chalk and talcum; milk casein, natural latex, bees' wax, earth and mineral dyes. Water-based natural paints give off almost no smell. The oil-based natural paints usually have a pleasant fragrance of citrus or essential oils. Allergies and sensitivities to these paints is uncommon. These paints are the safest for your health and for the environment.

My experience is that natural painting requires more time but lasts longer and gives you more joy! Painting is a lot about preparation and good materials. Painting over mold with non-breathing latexpaint etc is just making it worse.

I would like to promote linseed oil paint which I've used at home in Sweden. Contact me if you are interested.

I have been working in an older house that has been remodeled. The jack of all trades used Maritime Spar varnish on all the wooden floors in the house 5 rooms total. I have been getting headaches everyday from the begining so was trying to find out what kind of damage this stuff was doing to me can't really find any info on inhaling varnish fumes 6 or more hours a day.
