Want to know how much radiation your cell phone emits? Check out the online list compiled and published by CNET.com. The chart lists units in SAR, or specific absorption rate, which is a way of measuring the quantity of radiofrequency energy that is absorbed by the body. To pass certification by the US Federal Communications Commission, the phone's maximum SAR level must be less than 1.6W/kg (watts per kilogram). The six highest-radiation cell phone models are Motorola V120c (1.55); Mororola ST7868, ST7868W or P8767 (all 1.53); Ericsson T28 World and Nokia 5170i (both 1.49). The six lowest radiation models are Qualcomm pdQ-1900 (0.2634); Siemens S40 (0.33); Motorola ST7790 (0.34); Mitsubishi Trium Galaxy G-130 (0.35); Motorola V60c and Motorola ST7790i (both 0.42).
