    1 banana
1⁄2 cup (125 mL) frozen organic blueberries (can substitute strawberries, raspberries, or a mixture)
    1 kiwi
1 Tbsp (15 mL) whole flaxseeds
1 Tbsp (15 mL) fermented organic soy protein powder
1 tsp (5 mL) flaxseed oil
2 tsp (10 mL) powdered greens
2 tsp (10 mL) amla powder* (optional)
1⁄2 cup (125 mL) liquid of your choice (try water, green tea, soy milk, or almond milk)

Use an electric coffee grinder to grind the flaxseeds.

Purée all ingredients in a blender, adding liquid of your choice at the end slowly, until desired consistency is reached. Chew smoothie thoroughly before swallowing to improve digestion and absorption.

    Serves 1

    *What is amla?

Amla is an Indian gooseberry, one of the richest natural sources of vitamin C. It adds a pleasant sourness to the otherwise sweet mixture of this smoothie. One gooseberry contains 2,000 mg of vitamin C, which makes this smoothie a very rich source of protective antioxidants.
