Pineapple and Mango Rooibos Bliss

    Get a powerful polyphenol punch by using tea in your smoothies. Prepare the rooibos ice cubes for this drink the day before you intend to serve it.

    1 cup (250 mL) fresh pineapple, diced
    1/2 cup (125 mL) fresh mango (or papaya), diced
    1/2 cup (125 mL) rooibos tea, brewed and chilled
    1/4 cup (60 mL) guava juice
    1 Tbsp (15 mL) lime juice
    1/2 cup (125 mL) ice cubes made with rooibos tea
    Fresh mint sprigs or fruit pieces for garnish

    Place the pineapple and mango in a blender and add remaining ingredients. Pulse to chop the fruit and blend until smooth. Serve immediately, garnished with mint or fruit pieces.

    Serves 2.
