Blame it on my hormones, but the older I get, the more it seems to me that Christmas has become a commercialized gift-giving extravaganza.
I believe that Christmas gifts should symbolize our generous hearts, not our generous wallets. I would much rather receive a gift that someone made than one they went out and purchased. In our hectic schedules making gifts can be time-consuming, but gifts from our kitchen are fun to make, taste better than store-bought and, more importantly, say something from our heart.
