Avoid the Cruelty of Alzheimer's

For the past two years I have lived through most experiences that you will read in this article: memory loss, arthritic symptoms, kidney and liver stress and heavy metal poisoning from nickel, mercury and aluminum. Now I am on my way back to recovery–at age 40!

Alzheimer’s disease (AD) is the fourth leading cause of death for people living in Western industrialized countries such as the United States, Great Britain and Canada. Most victims are older than 60, but the disease, as happened in my case, can strike persons as young as 40 years of age. Down’s syndrome patients can become senile as young as 30! Alzheimer’s disease accounts for the deaths of a minimum of 150,000 North Americans per year.

The National Institute of Aging (NIA) estimates that the number of people suffering from Alzheimer’s is expected to triple from four million today to 12 million by the year 2020.

Should we worry that we could be next in line for early senility? In my opinion-no! Multinational organizations peddling chemical solutions to disease have kept you in the dark. There are answers. The studies have been there for years, for those who wish to find them.

Senility Or Dementia?

First, lets clear up the myths. What is senility? The dictionary reads, "Suffering from bodily or mental weakness because of old age, characteristic of elderly people."

Senility depends on how you live and take care of your mind and body. For example, the life span of the natives in Hunza land, located in Northern Pakistan, ranges from 120-140 years of age. There are no prevalent signs of cancer or crippling diseases among them that are common in our society today. Their secret? They live in a serene unpolluted environment, surrounded by nature, with natural, unprocessed food supplies, pure mountain-fresh glacial water, exercise in the outdoors–and community.

Dementia is a combination of Latin words that mean "away" and "mind." The mind has "gone away" for an Alzheimer’s patient.

Alzheimer’s is not a normal part of aging. It is not something that inevitably happens later in life. Rather, it is caused by brain cell damage. What causes brain cell damage? Is it possible that senility, dementia, Alzheimer’s–whatever the medical system wants to label it–has mistaken this mysterious disease for something far more dangerous, that has the capability of turning a thinking, living human being into a brain-dead zombie?

Many of us in our society believe that our planet is a victim of a conspiracy of "chemical warfare" and that not only Alzheimer’s, but a majority of diseases with the same symptoms, may be caused by deadly poisonous toxins! Author Maureen Kennedy Salaman, in her latest book, All Your Health Questions Answered Naturally, says, "Too many people are led to believe Alzheimer’s is a prison sentence–trapped in a body that has lost its mind. Alzheimer’s is a physical reaction to poisons present in the environment and the body. Not only is Alzheimer’s preventable, it is reversible!"

A research team led by Dr D. Crapper at the University of Toronto autopsied several Alzheimer’s victims and each time found isolated aluminum accumulated in localized brain areas and incredible tangles of nerve fibres (neurofibrils: nerve conductors inside brain cells) resembling pieces of unwound string. Toxic metals tend to collect in the brain as the major cause of this disease. Recent innovative research in the United States and Canada by Professor Donald R. McLaughlan, MD, has shown increased concentrations of aluminum in the brains of many patients with Alzheimer’s. Orthodox medicine refuses to even admit to the evidence and research.

Deadly Poisons

Daniel G. Clark’s book Toxic Effects of Heavy Metals From Our Environment states, "All you have to do is breath the air around you in order to get Alzheimer’s. Science has known for years about the toxic effect of aluminum to the brain, but it still remains to be seen in our food, water and cooking utensils and is approved for human consumption by the FDA."

I’m sure you have heard of mercury. It’s another insidious poison and the most powerful neurotoxin known to humanity. It is 80 times more potent than arsenic and it sits in your alloy mixture of silver amalgam fillings–50 percent to be exact! It causes death to brain cells and the nervous system and interferes with cellular repair and DNA. Author Tom Warren describes being diagnosed with Alzheimer’s at 54 in his book Beating Alzheimer’s. He cured himself by removing his fillings, after a decade of chewing mercury that sent mercury gas to his brain!

We, as inhabitants of this earth, are being poisoned! Would you eat something that, when it exceeds 18°C (86°F), the wood alcohol in it converts to formaldehyde and then to formic acid, which in turn causes metabolic acidosis? (Formic acid is the poison found in the sting of fire ants.)

Methanol (also known as wood alcohol) is used as a paint thinner and an industrial cleaner; formaldehyde is used as embalming fluid. Aspartame is a common food additive which includes these ingredients–tumors and blindness are a result.

Dr H. J. Roberts, author of Defence Against Alzheimer’s Disease, states there are 92 documented symptoms of aspartame, from coma to death. The majority of them are all neurological, because aspartame destroys the nervous system and stimulates the neurons of the brain, causing brain damage of varying degrees. There are 5,000 products on the market containing aspartame. Aspartame is also marketed as NutraSweet, Spoonful and Equal.

So how do we protect the brain? First, open your cupboard and start reading labels. Anything that has the above mentioned words listed in the ingredients–throw in the garbage! If you have mercury fillings, find a good biological dentist in your area, an electro-dermal screening practitioner that tests metal toxicity and an experienced naturopath or doctor in chelation therapy to remove heavy metals out of the body.

Feeding the brain requires whole organic foods, supplementation, pure water and oxygen, as well as improving circulation and feeding the nervous system. The brainy B vitamins are vital for normal functioning of the nervous system, especially folic acid and B12, which are usually deficient in Alzheimer’s patients.

Iron, copper, magnesium, iodine and zinc are generally recognized as brain-critical minerals. But boron turns out to be the brain’s all-star performer, supplying alertness and brain activity. (Boron is still banned in Canada by the Drug Directorate of the Health Protection Branch. Ask your health food store about its status.) The brain’s memory centre, the hippocampus, has a special affinity for magnesium. If you’re deficient in this mineral, there is poor blood circulation to the brain.

Hawthorn and CoQ10 help strengthen the heart to pump more blood to the brain. Spirulina, nature’s superfood, carries oxygen through the blood stream the same way hemoglobin does. For this reason it supplies oxygen and nutrition to our brains and is also very cleansing, working to rid the body of heavy metals and other toxins. Low levels of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA), an essential fatty acid in the grey area of the brain, have been correlated with changes in neurological function and memory loss. Also, evidence now links low levels of dehydroepiandrosterone (DHEA) to conditions such Alzheimer’s.

Alzheimer’s is just a label. Clean out the poisons and watch your health turn around!
