    Hot Pink Protein Latte

Trade your second coffee for this vibrant beetroot latte―frothy, vanilla-kissed, and spiced with cinnamon. Beets naturally increase nitric oxide, which helps blood vessels relax and improve circulation. Blend them with protein powder, and you’ve got a cozy drink that doubles as muscle fuel.

    Silky smooth!

For the smoothest texture, use a soft, roasted, or steamed beet. If you only have raw beets, grate them finely before blending to avoid a gritty latte.

      Ingredients

      • 1/2 small beet, cooked and peeled
      • 1 cup (250 mL) unsweetened coconut milk, or milk of choice
      • 1 scoop vanilla protein powder
      • 1/2 tsp (2 mL) ground cinnamon
      • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground ginger
      • 1 tsp (5 mL) maple syrup, optional

      Directions

      01

In blender, blend beet, milk, protein powder, cinnamon, ginger, and maple syrup, if using, until smooth.

      02

Pour into small saucepan and gently heat over medium until steaming, but do not allow it to boil.

      03

Using hand-held frother or whisk, stir mixture vigorously in pan to create foam. Alternatively, pour mixture into jar with tight lid and shake for 30 seconds until foam forms.

      04

Pour into a mug and enjoy warm.
