This sunny smoothie draws on yellow mangos, beneficial bee pollen, and turmeric. Not only will this drink brighten your day visually, it’s also full of bright, zingy flavour and a spicy kick. That little boost of cayenne and black pepper is awakening, indeed!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (250 mL) frozen mango
  • 1 ripe banana
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) bee pollen
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) ground turmeric
  • 1 tsp (5 mL) grated gingerroot
  • 1/4 tsp (1 mL) black pepper
  • 1/8 tsp (0.5 mL) cayenne powder
  • 1/4 cup (60 mL) almond milk
  • 1 Tbsp (15 mL) freshly squeezed lime juice

Place all ingredients in blender and blend on high speed until smooth.
