Sleepy inspiration

If you have a problem to solve, sleep on it. Many people believe their dreams help them solve problems

If you have a problem to solve, sleep on it. Many people believe their dreams help them solve problems. Now scientific evidence supports the value of our sleepy inspirations. Researchers from two German universities concluded that sleep inspires insight, "a mental restructuring that leads to a sudden gain of explicit knowledge allowing qualitatively changed behaviour."
Their study, published in Nature, found that our brains continue working on problems in our sleep. Researchers clearly described a specific problem to three groups of people. The group allowed to sleep for eight hours before tackling the problem was almost three times as likely as the two nonsleeper groups to find the solution to the problem.
